The Band

Welcome to the new line-up of this great project. Presenting 'Fragile featuring Claire Hamill'

FRAGILE were founded as a tribute project to the music of classic 70s symphonic rock band Yes in 1998.

The band are now well known to YES fans all over Europe, having appeared on the UK's  primetime Richard & Judy TV show with Rick Wakeman and visionary album cover artist Roger Dean and performed throughout the UK, Finland, Belgium, Holland & Switzerland, including tours with YES/ASIA guitar legend Steve Howe in 2005/6 and 7. The band has also performed to an audience of over 35,000 with YES and former John Lennon drummer Alan White and have performed at many exclusive Roger Dean art exhibition events over the past few years.

News about FRAGILE working with YES members and Roger Dean has appeared as top news items on the official YES website on many occasions and FRAGILE have been well and truly accepted into the extended YES family by YES members themselves, who have publicly endorsed the band.

2013 sees a wonderful new collaboration with singer songwriter Claire Hamill (who has worked with Alan White, Steve Howe & Jon Anderson) joining the project on lead vocals. We're also pleased to welcome a great new line-up that all share a common goal to take this project forward and create a unique, powerful & personal tribute to the Music of Yes, as well as performing great arrangements of some of Claire's own work.

Claire Hamill

Claire has had a distinguished musical career and offers a great blessing to the project being a genuine link to Yes. With help from Alan White, in 1971 she was signed & launched on Island Records as one of Britain's first female singer-songwriters and compared by several commentators of the time to Joni Mitchell. Claire has worked with Alan White, Steve Howe, Jon & Vangelis & Wishbone Ash and performed internationally as support on tours with many well known artists including Jon Anderson, John Martyn, Procul Harem, Jethro Tull, The Kinks and Jackson Browne. Claire sang lead vocals on the 1980 Steve Howe track 'Look Over Your Shoulder' and her 1974 song 'You Take My Breath Away' was recorded by Eva Cassidy and used on a movie soundtrack gaining huge international popularity.
